We thank the Rev. Al Sharpton for our name. Confronted by an anti-abortion protester at NARAL's January rally to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Roe V. Wade, Rev. Sharpton responded, "Young lady, it is time for the Christian right to meet the right Christians." Our site is not otherwise connected with the Sharpton campaign and he is not responsible for its content nor we for his campaign. We do appreciate his stating so succinctly what we have been feeling for some time and wish him well.
"The Right Christians" was founded by the Rev. Allen H. Brill and is currently under his direction.
Posted by Allen at May 21, 2003 02:42 PMI just want you to know that there is a groundswell of support among Christians in Texas... My husband and I are supporting Howard Dean and have a serious problem with the number of churchgoers who have been hoodwinked by the republicans.... Thanks for your work...Margaret (Marty) Dick
Posted by: Margaret Dick at December 10, 2003 08:00 PMDr. Brill -- You say you're representing the RIGHT CHRISTIANS. So I ask you, who do you say Jesus Christ is? Is he God, or just a man?
Posted by: Dr. Joe Busey at December 13, 2003 12:48 AMwhat a load of crap! if you think that Howard Dean is your new saviour, the tell that to the millions more babys that will be butchered by ABORTIONISTS of dean is president!! what would you say to those babys if you go the heaven? oh, sorry but i had to chose between saving you and getting Bush out of office!
Posted by: bob at January 9, 2004 09:35 PMConcordia, eh? Former LCMS? I'll poke around a bit and maybe come back.
There is a REAL NEED (yes, I'm screaming) in America, and elsewhere, for modern Christians who reject both the Right's god of law and mammon and the Left's god of self realization and relativity. I would recommend the Bruderhof for those so looking, at least as a model.
The Kingdom of God is now, and it is within. It doesn't come from the outside via the Law, and it doesn't come from a relativity that makes me feel good.
In responding to a compliment from an admirer, who said the world needed more Christian writers like him, C.S. Lewis wonderfully replied (something like this), "No madam, the world doesn't need more Christian writers. It desperately needs more writers who are Christians."
This applies to politics and religion as well as the arts.
A pro-life, anti-death, Christian Democrat.
Peace.
Posted by: P.M. Summer at January 23, 2004 07:43 PMI just dont understand what it is thats wrong with you people? Have you ever even read the Bible? Because if you had, all the hatred, and the attitde of "I'ts my way or the highway", and the ridiculous idea that when you get to heaven dead babys are going to be prancing around asking people "So who did you vote for in 2004, in USA?",..... it just makes me sick. Jesus would agree with me.
